Education
At AEP, we take pride in providing free education for all employees’ children in the local plantations and communities where they work.Here are some of the initiatives we have undertaken recently:
Provided free education for all employees’s children in local plantations and communities.
Supported 34 schools: 18 pre-schools, 10 primary schools, 5 secondary schools, and 1 high school.
Employed 129 full-time teachers and operates 48 school buses for student transport.
Funded the construction of educational facilities including laboratories and libraries.
Offered scholarships to qualified students from both communities and employees’ families for tertiary education.
Spent around $1.1 million in 2024 on education facilities and transport.
Paid teacher's salaries and school bus operating costs.
Additionally, we have provided scholarships to qualified students from the communities to pursue tertiary education.
Here are our initiatives:
Since 1999, we have sponsored 40 employees for university studies in Indonesia, costing $0.2 million. Popular scholarship courses include Engineering, Education, Economics, and Agriculture.
Additional 70 scholarship recipients have graduated with some working for the Group.
