Healthcare

At AEP, we are committed to delivering essential medical services and support to our employees and the surrounding communities. Through clinics, skilled medical staff, emergency care, and preventive programs, we help ensure reliable access to quality healthcare.

The Group operates 23 clinics, of which 19 are still managed by the Group, staffed with qualified doctors, nurses, and hospital assistants.

Two clinics were upgraded to meet minimum government standards under Indonesia’s Health and Social Security Agency. The upgraded clinics serve both plantation workers and the surrounding communities, providing accessible medical treatment without the need to travel far.

Fifteen ambulances are operated by the Group to support emergency medical transportation within estates, mills, and neighboring villages.

The Group implements mosquito fogging programs to prevent the spread of dengue fever.

In remote locations without piped water, water is sourced from underground or river sources, with reverse osmosis facilities progressively installed across estates to provide clean drinking water.

Healthcare expenses in 2024 amounted to $1.3 million, covering full and part-time field workers, including monthly contributions to the Health and Social Security Agency.
